Sara Michael
I am a Baltimore-based writer and editor who has worked for about a decade in newspapers and magazines. I recently started working as an associate editor at a healthcare trade journal, after covering health and science for the now-defunct Baltimore Examiner newspaper.
I started my career as the cops reporter for a small community newspaper in Maryland before jumping to a national technology trade magazine. After attending graduate school at Medill School of Journalism in Chicago and traveling a bit in Central America, I returned to the area, settling in Baltimore to write for a daily newspaper. I have continued to freelance for magazines and revisit blogging from time to time.
When I’m not writing, you can usually find me reading (started a book club), running (training for my first marathon this fall), doing yoga, walking my dog, traveling and renovating a century-old rowhouse.
Here you will find some of my recent writing samples, my blog and other creative ventures. Thanks for visiting, and please don’t hesitate to contact me!
