Sara Michael
I am a Baltimore-based writer and editor who has worked for about a decade in newspapers and magazines. I currently work as a senior editor at a healthcare business trade journal, where I write for a monthly journal and manage custom editorial projects.
I started my career as the cops reporter for a small community newspaper in Maryland before jumping to a national technology trade magazine. After attending graduate school at Medill School of Journalism in Chicago and traveling a bit in Central America, I returned to the area, settling in Baltimore to write for a now-defunct daily newspaper. I have continued to freelance for magazines, writing mainly about healthcare, business, and technology, and I revisit blogging from time to time.
When I’m not writing, you can usually find me reading (started a book club), running (ran my first marathon last fall), doing yoga, walking my dog, traveling and renovating a century-old rowhouse.
